Just chiming in here for better understanding of things, and making sure I am on the right track with this Incarna to D&D conversion thing. It does seem to me that Sankofa is more of a Druid than a Totem Warrior (like Chot'la), as Sankofa has a more spiritual side, and really isn't about the direct fighting as much as how to use powers for his group or against his enemies (though we only had a short time with Sankofa, so I am reaching here). Though I am sure that he can deal with a fight, but, Sandkofa seems pretty steeped in revering nature and the divine aspects of nature, and he's even got a beast spark and radiance spark

Based on the druid creation I am a bit confused, or maybe I am on the right track, as it seems like a Druid would be mulitclassed to start, with 1 level of Cleric (Darupet, or Beast Lord aspect of him?) and 1 level of Warlock (5 essence?, with 1 Aptitude, 8 Essence?) with a pact to an Archfey, a 2nd level character at start. It would seem that the Darupet/Beast connection and Fey connection would happen before they would adventure, as this is their base. Their first level with a party would be druid? ...unless I am reading this wrong..or would it be Cleric, and are they unlimited in Cleric?

In Sanknfa's case, as a cleric he is bonded to Myhi't'k, the bird father, who I am guessing another aspect of Darupet, so that would work. To fulfill the other part of the druid background, would his fey connection be a celestial or something like that, as the Celestials still seem to be roaming around in Nakria and that part of the world (the Celestials' chosen people, right?), and it does state he reveres the Celestial pantheon (ok, I am looking at his character sheet now). Or does he need to seek out his Fey Warlock connection now? Or are there other Archfey running around?

And it would seem that Sankofa maybe picked up something else being with the Nurth, maybe another level of Cleric to Darupet, with the Blind Father another aspect? Or would that be a druid level?

All I know is in that session Sankofa saved our bacon (though he was plotting to kill us and steal the Golden Child?) and we got the Golden child away from the Nurth and from the Umbakians because he led the Nurth away and allowed us to escape. Some of that Sacrifice should pay off..anyway, Sankofa is a great character and I hope Iziah gets to play him in our group sometime soon.

I didn't want to mess anything up with the discussion of converting Sankofa, but this is an interesting case for conversion as there were new things to Incarna introduced with him.

Or am I completely wrong, and is Sankofa is a Totem Warrior (Barbarian)?

OK, I just saw Oath of the Ancients..there could be a connection to that as well...I really didn't see Sankofa as a Paladin, but this is the Green Earthy Crunchy Granola version of the Paladin...maybe something like Earth First..or maybe GreenPeace, with an edge..

He's primarily a kinetic character. Paladins are warriors bonded to holy powers and use them for larger groups good - the essence of paladin and a kinetic/divine Incarna character. I see him with just a couple levels of that but mostly a barbarian and fighter bent as he progresses. It depends on where the player wants to develop them.

I was planning on focusing more on the support portion of his abilities and playing up the use of sparks. Only relying on his combat prowess when his synergy is spent or in the defense of a fallen party member. Plus I really enjoyed the Hexxing.
